Which pass should I buy?
It depends entirely on where you ski, and that is not a dodge — it is the whole point. A pass is not a list of resorts; it grants different things at each one. Put your mountains on the map, switch the passes on and off, and read the day figures on their cards.
What is a shared day pool?
Some passes give you a budget of days spread across several resorts rather than days at each. Ikon gives seven days across Alta AND Snowbird together, so four days at each does not fit; three and three does. The card says so on the pass row, and names the other mountains.

Why does a resort say "blackout calendar not published"?
Because it has not been, and on Indy that is by design: each resort chooses its own blackout dates — Indy's words are that it gives its independent partners "the ability to choose to blackout specific dates and/or require reservations" — and Indy gathers them into one list each autumn. The 2026/27 list is due in the fall of 2026. Until then we say so, rather than showing a clear calendar and letting you assume there is nothing to avoid. An unknown is a third state, not an empty one.

What do the size letters mean?
Total trail length, in six frozen bands — a good or bad year never reshuffles them.

What counts as a resort here?
Lift-served alpine skiing, and only that. Indy sells 42 cross-country and nordic centres alongside its hills; none of them are here. It is not that they do not matter — it is that they answer a different question for a different skier, and mixing the two makes both comparisons worse. Twenty kilometres of groomed track and twenty kilometres of lift-served piste are not the same twenty kilometres, and a size letter that averaged them would mean nothing. Where a resort does both, and a dozen do, it is here for its lifts, and its size counts only the downhill runs.
What about heli-skiing and cat-skiing?
Also out, for the same reason. A pass may sweeten a heli trip — Ikon hands its full-pass holders CA$400 a day toward CMH, up to CA$2,000, and half that on Base — but that is a discount on a separate holiday, not access to a mountain. This site answers "where does my pass let me ski", and a credit toward a week in the Purcells is not an answer to it.
Why don't you show prices?
Because a price is only true on the operator's own page. It steps up on deadlines each operator sets, sometimes several times a season, and a figure quoted here with a date beside it still reads as today's price to anyone skimming — which makes this site the thing that goes stale. Every pass page links the operator, which is where the number is current and where you would buy anyway. We do still track prices weekly: the last figure read, and the date it was read, are in /data/access.jsonl.
Do you sell passes, or get paid for this?
No. megapass.info is not affiliated with any operator or resort, and nothing here is sponsored. If a lodging link ever earns a commission, the page carrying it will say so, on the card itself.
Can I use your data?
Yes, and there is a page for it: /data/. Each pass's whole roster is a CSV you can open in a spreadsheet, and the full dataset is at /data/resorts.json and /data/access.jsonl with open CORS, so take it rather than scraping the pages. The list view will also export whatever you have filtered it down to. The mountain figures come from OpenSkiMap, so the dataset carries ODbL forward: credit OpenStreetMap contributors and share derived databases alike. To have an AI read it for you, AI prompt in the top bar copies a prompt that points one at these files; paste it into any chatbot and add your trip.
How often is it updated?
Pass terms are re-collected as operators change them, and prices are still checked weekly even though none is shown; season dates and live open/closed status refresh through the winter. Every file carries its build date in _meta, and every card's live dot is only as fresh as that.
